KERRY GLASS,

FOUNDER OF MEMORIES LIVE

Kerry Glass is the creator of the Memories Live concept. She graduated from Rutgers University with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Fine Arts, focusing on photography and videography. She then received a Master’s in Art Therapy from Pratt Institute. Following graduation she was employed at the Hebrew Home for the Aged at Riverdale (NY) where she served as both an art therapist and director of the art department. This most recent chapter of her life began when a young woman in her community passed away from cancer, leaving behind her husband and two young children. That evening the concept of Memories Live was born. Kerry’s goal is to create a life movie for you family to store eternally, to keep your memories alive.

NEIL GLASS,

TREASURER, DIRECTOR

Neil is currently Senior Vice President, data strategy, at IDG Communications, Inc., the world’s largest technology media company. With more than 20 years of media industry experience, Neil is a leader in both the strategic and operational areas of digital businesses. Prior to IDG, Neil was CFO and head of business development at Crisp Media, a mobile shopper marketing platform. For eight years at Ziff Davis (the last three years as CFO), Neil helped transform the tech publisher through its migration from print to digital while leading the company’s efforts in the areas of domestic/ international licensing and corporate development. Neil’s digital experience includes being part of the team within The Walt Disney Company to launch ABCNEWS.com, serving in both editorial and business development roles.

 

Neil holds an MBA from the Stern School at New York University and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in political economy from Williams College where he was also an All-American tennis player.

MELISSA GOLDBERG

DIRECTOR

Melissa brings more than 10 years public relations experience in the consumer, sports, entertainment, dot.com and heath/fitness sectors. Currently, Goldberg works as an independent public relation executive running her own company, Goldberg PR. Goldberg holds a Master of Arts in Energy & Environmental Studies and a Bachelor of Arts in History both from Boston University. She lives in New Jersey with her husband and two children and created one of the state’s largest and most well-respected CSA’s, Farm & Fork Society (www.farmandforksociety.com). Over it’s nearly 10 years in existence, the community supported agriculture not-for-profit has provided access to organic, sustainable fresh, fruits and vegetables to thousands of New Jerseyans, while supporting small, local farmers in New York and New Jersey.

RICHARD MANDELBAUM

DIRECTOR

Richard oversees the financial side of his family's business. He is responsible for all stock, bond, currency, and alternative investments. He also is responsible for some of his family's diverse business interests which include real estate, manufacturing, and the Minnesota Vikings Football Club. Prior to this, Richard worked at both Deutsche Bank and Morgan Stanley in New York City and London, and achieved Managing Director status. During his 12 years as a derivatives trader, his responsibilities included, but were not limited to, running proprietary trading businesses, making listed and OTC options markets, hedging and managing sector, OTC basket, and equity derivatives books, supervising traders, committing the firm's capital, and trading and making markets in Japanese warrants in US Dollars, Swiss Francs, Deutsche Marks, and ECU's. He employed several strategies to manage over four billion dollars in risk, including delta neutral volatility hedging, dispersion, tracking, and volatility drift and skew. In the Not-For-Profit space, he serves the Arch-Diocese of Newark and Congregation B'nai Jeshurun in addition to Seton Hall University. He graduated from Princeton University, and received his Masters in Business Administration from The Amos Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College. He is married to his wife, Lianne, and has three children, Rebecca, Benjamin, and Joshua.

SHARON WEINTRAUB

DIRECTOR

Sharon is currently a full time Mom who spends much of her free time volunteering in the non-profit sector. She also began volunteering weekly at the Valerie Fund Center at St. Barnabas Hospital in 2008 and then moved into fundraising for this organization as well. Sharon has been on the Board of Directors of the Valerie Fund since 2013 and is a major fundraiser for the organization. Additionally, Sharon is a Board Member of Willa’s Wish (supporting a cure for type 1 diabetes). She recently completed her tenure as a board member of the Interfaith Hospitality Network of Essex County which began in 2003. While on the board, she focused primarily on fundraising. She continues in the role of coordinator for Congregation Bnai Jeshurun, who is a hosting site for IHN. Sharon has co-lead a toy drive for children at the Metropolitan Regional Diagnostic Treatment Center (RDTC) for the last 7 years. She is a firm believer in giving back to the community and support other charities close to her heart.

 

She received a Bachelor of Science in Textile Science and Marketing from the University of Maryland. She is married to her husband Josh, and has two children, Jamie and Melanie.

BETH A. BURNS

DIRECTOR

Beth brings a vast base of knowledge in the field of social work to the Memories Live Board. She currently runs a private practice in Chatham, New Jersey, providing psychotherapy for adolescents and adults specializing in depression, anxiety, addiction, parenting, life transitions, bereavement and relationship issues. Previously Beth served as a social worker for Temple Ner Tamid in Bloomfield, New Jersey, facilitating workshops and support groups for congregants experiencing challenges in the areas of mental health, addiction, parenting, employment and grief.

Beth received a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from Emory University and a Masters in Business Administration from New York University. Beth then went on to receive her Masters in Social Work from New York University and has focused her expertise on working with individuals and families throughout northern New Jersey.
