Memories Live with Samara
For my mitzvah project, I have decided to work with Memories Live. Memories Live, a non-profit organization, uses the power of film to help people with life-limiting illnesses preserve their images, stories and wisdom by creating personalized movies to pass on to their loved ones and to create a lasting legacy for their families.
My Papa Jerry was diagnosed with kidney cancer over 20 years ago. He has battled this disease for so many years and with his positive outlook and optimism, he fought hard and had the chance to travel and do so many of the things he loved. Over the last year, my Papa Jerry has not been doing very well and was told his time is limited. Because of this very special organization, Memories Live, my Papa Jerry has been able to film his life, memories and stories that will be preserved and passed down to his family and future generations. If you have ever watched a family video that has special moments, then you know how meaningful these memories can be. Please help me to support this special organization so that they can continue to memorialize the lives of the people who are dear to us.
To support my Mitzvah Project, Memories Live, please consider making a donation to this wonderful organization. Additionally, you can join me and my family in a 5K Walk/Run on Saturday May 15th at 10:00 AM in honor of my Papa Jerry. If you cannot be here with us to participate, please do your own 5k in honor or memory of someone special to you between now and May 30th. Please take a selfie and tag it #memorieslivewithsamara, and email your photo to memorieslivewithsamara@gmail.com.
Please let us know who you dedicate your walk/run to and we will add it to the Dedication Wall. If you are able to join us on May 15th, please email wendymoskowitz@gmail.com for additional details.
